Markers

To keep the book-keeping to zero some markers need to be used.   However, the whole purpose of Waelstowe is to make the battle as attractive looking as possible and help the players get away from gaming and get to story-telling.  

To that end, every marker that is used can and should be represented by things that are not jarring to the eye.  Viz

Wound Markers

Use Shields for Wounds on Heroes, Fallen Figures for Wounds on Warriors  

Ravens

In this instance we use Ravens!!!

Devotion

For this I use ghostly warriors from my GW Lord of the Rings collection.  

Below is Ragnar and his Kinsmen and two ghostly warriors showing that Ragnar has two Devotion
