Figures

The figures you will need for your Clan are listed on the page containing the Clan details. There are three types of figures: Heroes, Kinsmen and Warriors.

Heroes and Kinsmen

Heroes and Kinsmen are represented by individual figures.

Warriors

Warriors fight in Companies. There are two type of Warriors: armoured and unarmoured. In the listing for each Clan, I have used the 'historical' names for these warriors wherever possible, e.g. Bondir and Hirdmen.

Companies of Warriors can be represented in a variety of ways:

By grouping four or more figures in 'base-to-base' contact and keeping them that way throughout the battle

Or you could use a slotta base or piece of card with eight or so figures

Or go the 'whole hog' and multi- base your figures

The base size of the company and the number of figures used is irrelevant to game play.

Number of Figures for a Clan

Depending on your Clan and how many figures you group in a company, you will need anything from 60 or more figures.

For some of the smaller Clans, such as those of Bagsecg and Njal you could get away with as few as 40 or so figures if you used only four figures for each company.

At the other end, if you use 20 or so figures in a company, you would be looking at almost 200 figures for a Clan such as that of Flannan or Harald Finehair
